Precision Laser Engraving for Lasting Value

Laser engraving is a sophisticated method for permanently and detailedly marking surfaces. Whether it is for your company's corporate identity or a unique one-of-a-kind piece – we implement your visions with micrometer precision in Vienna.

Modern laser technology allows us to do more than just mark surfaces; we trigger a permanent change in the material structure through targeted thermal processes. Unlike printing or traditional mechanical engraving, there is no physical contact between the tool and the workpiece. This protects even extremely sensitive surfaces while allowing a depth of detail that is nearly unsurpassed in the industry.

In our Vienna workshop, we utilize both CO₂ and Fiber lasers to cover a wide spectrum of materials. While the CO₂ laser is ideal for organic substances such as wood and leather, as well as glass, the Fiber laser enables the permanent marking of metals and specialized plastics. This technological approach guarantees that your engraving will not fade or peel off even after years of intensive use.

Your Path to the Perfect Result

01

Data Verification & Consultation

First, we analyze your files. We check whether the line weights are suitable for laser engraving and advise you on choosing the optimal contrast based on your specific material.

02

Material Setup

The workpiece is precisely fixed within the working area (up to 900 x 600 mm). The laser focus is exactly adjusted to the material thickness to ensure maximum sharpness.

03

The Engraving Process

Under controlled conditions, the motif is engraved. Depending on the desired depth and material, we select specific pulse frequencies and speeds to achieve a precise outcome.

04

Finish & Quality Control

After engraving, the surface is cleaned of soot particles. Every single piece undergoes a visual inspection before it is ready for pickup or shipment.

Who is our Laser Engraving suitable for?

Our services are aimed at a diverse group of clients who value durability and aesthetics. Small businesses use engraving for high-quality metal or leather business cards to stand out from the competition. Event organizers commission exclusive awards or name tags that impress through their tactile quality.

Designers and architects also appreciate the possibility of adding precise markings to prototypes or models. Private individuals come to us when a gift needs a personal touch that goes beyond a simple print. Laser engraving is the choice for anyone who wants to not just mark a product, but upgrade it.

Technical Implementation in Detail

The work begins with digital preparation. Since the laser operates binarily (it either fires or it doesn't), we generally require vector data. These define the exact path the laser beam follows. For raster engravings (e.g., photographs), the laser is guided over the surface in extremely fine dots to simulate grayscale levels.

A critical factor is the thermal reaction of the material. Wood carbonizes, leading to a beautiful dark contrast. Metal, on the other hand, is either color-changed (annealing) or deeply engraved by the Fiber laser, which guarantees extremely high abrasion resistance. We optimize the parameters for each material individually to avoid burnt edges or material warping.

What you should prepare for your order

To ensure a smooth process and avoid errors, we ask our clients to provide files in common vector formats (SVG, DXF, or AI). Please make sure that all texts have been converted to paths to prevent any font errors during production.

If you do not have ready-made data, we offer our Layout Design service. It is also important to provide precise dimensions of the area to be engraved and the exact designation of the material if you are providing it yourself. Clear communication regarding the desired depth (superficial vs. deep) helps us align the result exactly with your expectations.

The Result: What you receive from us

Upon completion of the work, you receive your physical product, which has been professionally cleaned and freed from residues. For larger orders, we document completion with photos, which we send to you before pickup or shipping to allow for immediate coordination.

If we have created a new vector design for you as part of the order, we will provide this to you in a usable format after full payment. You thus receive not only a physical product but also the digital foundation for future expansions or repeat orders.

Lead Times and Scheduling

The average lead time for engraving projects is 5 to 7 working days. This timeframe includes technical data verification, scheduling into the production sequence, and the actual processing. For very small quantities or simple motifs, this can be shorter, but we reserve this time for thorough quality control.

For urgent projects, we offer an express option. Please note that a corresponding surcharge will be applied, as specified in our Terms and Conditions. We recommend early planning, especially for larger quantities for corporate events, to guarantee a stress-free process.

Scope of Service: What is included?

To avoid misunderstandings, we clearly define the scope of our laser engraving service. The following points are included in the standard price:

What is NOT included in the service

For the sake of transparency, we point out services that are billed separately or not offered. Pure engraving does not include the creation of a logo if one is not provided (for this, please use our layout service). Likewise, the procurement of special materials is not included in the engraving price unless they are sourced directly through us.

We do not perform engravings on documents, IDs, or official license plates. Furthermore, we refuse to process materials that release hazardous gases, such as PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride), as this damages the machine and is toxic. Post-processing such as painting or special coating is not part of the standard process.

Pricing and Value Added Tax

Cost calculation is transparently based on the actual engraved area in square centimeters (cm²) and the complexity of the material. We distinguish between organic materials and hard surfaces, as machine runtimes and wear factors vary.

All prices listed on our website include the statutory Austrian Value Added Tax (VAT) of 20%. For our B2B customers, we display prices in the table both net and gross. Final billing follows the principle: Area x Material Factor + any setup costs.

Material Category Price incl. 20% VAT Price excl. VAT Unit
Wood & Leather 1.50 € 1.25 € per cm² engraving area
Glass & Metal 2.80 € 2.33 € per cm² engraving area

Frequently Asked Questions about Engraving

Can I bring my own material?

Yes, this is generally possible. However, we ask you to inform us in advance about the exact material to ensure it is laser-compatible and does not release toxic gases (such as PVC). Liability for material defects in customer-supplied materials lies with the client.

How deep is the engraving actually?

Depth varies greatly by material. In wood and leather, we usually create a color change through carbonization. In metals and acrylic, we can achieve a palpable indentation through multiple passes. The exact depth is coordinated with you in advance.

Are very small fonts possible?

Yes, thanks to our high-precision lasers, we can engrave very small texts. However, we recommend a minimum size of 2mm to guarantee optimal readability. If in doubt, we are happy to create a test piece on scrap material.

What happens if the result does not meet my expectations?

Since this is a customized service, engravings are generally excluded from exchange after execution. We minimize this risk through thorough data verification and the possibility of test engravings before the main run.
