1. Status of Compliance

The website barmyviro.digital is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 at the AA level. We are continuously working to improve this compliance to meet the requirements of the European Accessibility Act.

This assessment is based on an internal audit of core functions, specifically navigation, contact forms, and information pages regarding our services, such as Laser Engraving.

2. Implemented Measures

To facilitate use for all visitors, we have implemented the following technical and design adjustments:

  • Keyboard Navigation: All interactive elements are reachable via the Tab key. A "skip-link" at the start of every page allows users to bypass the main navigation.
  • Visual Contrast: Color combinations have been selected to meet WCAG AA contrast ratios, increasing readability for users with visual impairments.
  • Structure: We use a logical heading hierarchy (h1-h4), which assists screen readers in analyzing the page efficiently.
  • Alternative Texts: All functional images include descriptive alt-texts. Please note that the photographs on the website are illustrative.
  • Motion Control: By supporting prefers-reduced-motion, animations are disabled for users who have specified this in their system settings.

3. Known Limitations

Despite our efforts, some barriers may still exist in the following areas:

  • Some complex tables in the price lists may be difficult to interpret for very old versions of screen readers.
  • Interaction with external map links (OpenStreetMap) depends on the accessibility of the third-party provider.

For legal disputes, the place of jurisdiction is the court of Wien. This statement is provided in accordance with the Konsumentenschutzgesetz (KSchG) and the Fern- und Auswärtsgeschäfte-Gesetz (FAGG), and follows the guidelines of the Datenschutz-Grundverordnung (DSGVO) and Datenschutzgesetz (DSG) as well as § 165 Abs. 3 Telekommunikationsgesetz 2021 (TKG 2021).
